Tú Forms of the Verbs
Some Notes:
- tú = you (there are other words for you, but these are the ones we're using now.
- the tú form of the verb ends in -as (for -ar verbs, like hablar and cantar), or -es (for -er verbs, like comer and aprender, or -ir, like abrir or vivir.
- (verb: tells us the action or state of being of the subject)
- (subject: who or what the sentence is about)
- tú can be left out of the sentence because the -as or -es at the end of the verb tells us what the subject is.
You do... :
- Tú estudias. = You study.
- Comes los tacos. = You eat tacos.
- Tú nadas en verano. = You swim in the summer.
- Bebes el agua. = You drink water.
