Bienvenidos a la Clase de Espanol!
Spanish 1: Course Outline 2007-2008
Welcome to Spanish 1! In this class you will learn how to converse in Spanish, write sentences, ask and answer questions, count, discuss the date, time, & weather, read short selections in Spanish, and many other things to allow you to build a foundation for successful Spanish study in the future. We will report Current Events from Spanish speaking countries to expand your world view and bring these countries to life. We will also learn a tad of geography, a smattering of history, a smidgen of art, and a whole bunch of other fun stuff.

- Hall Passes: You must ask in Spanish! (Puedo ir a.)
- Lav/Drink: Ask as soon as you get to class. If I'm not there, just go like lightening! (If you're going to be sick, go to the lav first, ask permission later.)
- Locker: Don't ask. I'll say no.
- Nurse: The nurse will not send you home unless you are truly ill. She will not give you a Tylenol unless your parents have signed a permission form. You cannot leave class to go to the nurse for a cough drop (as per Mrs. Modrovsky). If you are truly too sick to be in class, I will give you a pass.
- Office/Guidance: If you have important business in the main or guidance office, please ask as soon as you arrive in class. Make sure I write a pass for you before you leave, but keep in mind that I might have to say no.
- Pencil Policy: You may purchase a stubby-little golf pencil for $.10 (or 3 for $.25). I do NOT lend pencils, so don't ask, unless you have your money ready. (I will not give you change, I'll just give you enough pencils for your money.)
- No Name = 0! (on homework and classwork)
- Late homework: I don't accept late homework unless you were absent.
