- Tiens! (Hey! or Look!)
- Tiens! Voilà Stéphanie! (Hey! There's Stephanie!)
- Voici... This is used in many different situations.
- If someone hands you something, they can say, "Voici le papier." (Here's the paper.)
- If you're showing off your prom pictures, you might point to your friend, and say, "Voici ma copine." (Here is my friend.)
- Or if you hand someone might say, "Voici." (Here.)
- If someone is approaching, you can say, "Voici Marie." (Here is Marie.)
- Voilà...This is also used in many situations. It is sometimes interchangable with voici.
- If you are hunting through the junk on your very messy desk, and you finally find what you're looking for, you might announce, "Voilà!" (There it is!)
- If you finish making a cake, and you present it to your parents, you can announce, "Voilà!" (Voilà! (Sorry, I say this in English too.))
- In The Little Mermaid when Ariel and Flounder are talking to Scuttle about the dinglehopper, he says, "Just a little twirl here and a yank there and way-oh-lay, you got an aesthetically pleasing configuration of hair that humans go nuts for." When he says way-oh-lay, he really means voilà.
- If you are pointing across the room to another person, you can say, "Voilà Marc." (There's Marc.)
- Qui est-ce? (Who is that? Who is it?)
- C'est...
- Qui est-ce? (Who is that?)
- C'est Marie. C'est une copine. (That's Marie. She's a friend.)

Indefinite Articles: a, an
Did you notice that each of the nouns had un or une in front of it? Un and Une mean a or an.This is called the Indefinite Article.
