Pepperoni Stuffed Mushrooms

Wash and drain mushrooms. Remove stems (don't throw them away). Finely chop enough stems to make 1 cup.

In a medium saucepan melt margarine or butter. Cook chopped stems, onion, and garlic until tender. Stir in bread crumbs, cheese, pepperoni, and Italian seasoning. Spoon crumb mixture into mushroom caps. Arrange mushrooms on a baking sheet. Bake at 425° for 8 to 10 minutes until very lightly browned.
