Click here for an alphabetical listing of all recipes.In a bowl combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, sour cream, shortening, and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer on low speen until combined. Beat on high speed for 2 minutes. Add eggs and beat for 2 minutes.
Pour into greased and floured 9 inch cake pans. Bake in a 350° oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on racks for 10 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completely on wire racks.
