Italian Fruit Bars

MELT ½ LB BUTTER OR MARGARINE

MIX IN 4 EGGS, 2 TSP VANILLA, 2 CUPS SUGAR ADD MELTED BUTTER PLUS 2 CUPS FLOUR. MIX WELL.

PUT HALF OF BATTER IN UNGREASED 9X13' PAN PLACE 1 CUP (I USE ONE CAN) FRUIT PIE FILLING.

COVER WITH REMAINING BATTER. PLACE IN COLD OVEN AT 425 FOR 15 MIN. THEN REDUCE HEAT TO 350 FOR 30-45 MIN.
