#1 With Chocolate Chips
- 1 c. chocolate chips (white, semi-sweet, milk, whatever strikes your fancy)
- 2 TBS shortening
Melt chocolate chips and shortening in the microwave on high for 1 minute, or until the shortening is melted. Stir until chocolate chips are completely melted. Drizzle over cookies or dip them. Allow to cool.
#2 With Baking Chocolate
- 4 oz. (4 squares) baking chocolate (not unsweetened)
- 2 TBS shortening
Melt chocolate chips and shortening in the microwave on high for 1 minute, or until the shortening is melted. Stir until chocolate chips are completely melted. Drizzle over cookies or dip them. Allow to cool.
#3 With Chocolate Chips (for doing half white and half of another chocolate)
- 1/2 c. semi-sweet (or other) chocolate chips
- 2 tsp. shortening
- 3 oz. vanilla-flavored candy coating, chopped
- 2 tsp. shortening
Melt chocolate chips and2 tsp. shortening in the microwave on high for 1 minute, or until the shortening is melted. Stir until chocolate chips are completely melted. Repeat with vanilla candy coating. Drizzle over cookies or dip them. Allow to cool.
