Chocolate Macaroons

Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar gradually. Beat until mixture stands in stiff peaks. Melt chocolate chips for one minute in the microwave in a large bowl. Stir until smooth. Add salt and vanilla. Fold in egg whites. Add coconut and mix.

Drop small mounds on ungreased parchment paper on cookie sheet. Bake at 325° for 12 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from paper.
